Comal County is one of the fastest growing counties in the United States and Kevin has been working with his colleagues on commissioners court, fellow elected officials, county employees, and the community to help keep up with that growth through needed infrastructure investments.
Kevin was named the Texas Department of Transportation's regional "Road Hand" for his work in promoting area transportation projects. New Braunfels Herald Story.
Kevin was once again voted Vice Chair of the Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization's Transportation Policy Board in June of 2023 after serving his two-year term as Chairman since January 1st, 2021. New Braunfels Herald Story.
He will be eligible to serve as Chairman again in 2027 if he is re-elected as commissioner.
Kevin was awarded the Chamber of Commerce 2022 Chair of the Board award by Ian Taylor for his work in transportation. From the chamber website:
This award is designed to honor those individuals who have made a significant contribution to the community in a specific field of civic endeavor. No more than six recipients may be named in a calendar year. The awardee is presented a letter from the Chair of the Board at a regular Board of Directors meeting, then, presented a plaque at the Annual Banquet. The selection committee is made up of the Immediate Past Chair, Chair of the Board, and Chair-Elect.
